“Great spot close to nature.”
We enjoyed our stay at Annex Turtle Hotori‑An; the private onsen was very relaxing after traveling, the futons were comfortable, and the staff were gracious and helpful. No complaints!

The spot is beautiful, the lodging is simple, comfortable and traditional, the onsen was wonderful and private, and the river’s sound was lovely.

The place is superb, about 15 minutes on foot from the temples, and walking along the river behind the guesthouse is very pleasant; the Japanese‑style room is quite comfortable and the private onsen is very enjoyable. The bathroom feels a bit old‑fashioned, my room faced the river and the walls are very thin so it was noisy, and the breakfast is Western, which is a pity for a ryokan with Japanese‑style rooms.

Even from the room, the sound of the flowing river was soothing.
