When we arrived the hotel was shut down and nobody answered the phone, even though we had booked eight months earlier… Thankfully the tourist office pointed us to Villa Metis, which still had a room available.

The hotel has been closed for at least several months! I’m demanding a refund of the €118 paid and compensation for the inconvenience (extra kilometres driven, toll fees, the hassle of finding another hotel urgently, and the high level of stress). That’s all!

The staff were really polite and helpful, which was great. That's about all I have to say, though - nothing else really stood out.

Breakfast was a highlight - super fresh pastries and bread, and plenty to eat. The hotel's location was pretty handy, close enough to the Puy du Fou. Plus, they let us bring our little Jack-Russel along. However, no restaurant on site, no elevator, and our room had a pretty awful sewer smell that was especially bad when we came in from outside.
