The hosts were genuinely warm, always greeting us with smiles and sharing local stories and snacks. The view of the sea was stunning, the coffee hit the spot, and the neighborhood cats and dogs seemed to keep an eye on everything. It did get oppressively hot, but the fans made it tolerable.

Being right on the beach was a big plus, and the lounge chairs were comfy while the breakfast spread was decent. The downside was that both the bathroom and the room stayed uncomfortably warm.

The location is spot‑on, set inside an authentic Costa Rican house and right next to a soda that serves excellent fish and ceviche, just as the listing promised. The only drawback was the front‑desk person, who was surprisingly cold, especially since the rest of the staff were delightful.
