The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was cozy and spotless, and the garden was simply gorgeous – I’d love to return to Macadamia!

The newly opened, stylishly furnished boutique B&B in a quiet spot in Nairobi boasts a beautiful garden, and we were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by an unprofessional and almost fraudulent billing of various add‑ons: taxi rides that cost only a few dollars in Nairobi were overcharged, and the conversion from shillings to dollars was excessively inflated. When I raised the issue, I was told there had been a mistake and that a refund of a (too) small amount would be issued, but the refund never materialized and my contact was even blocked. This is unfair treatment of guests and very disappointing!
