It’s close to the river, the football pitch, and one of the best eateries in town, plus the fuel pumps are a hit; however, the house needs some updates—new mattresses, a new sofa, and a safety barrier on the porch outside the front door to keep guests from wandering onto the road.

The location and João’s service were great; the house felt a bit cool until the pellet stove and radiator warmed it up quickly. The bar across the street made a little noise, but they left as soon as it closed.

The spot was convenient for reaching the Schist villages, and the nearby river walks were lovely, plus there were good trails for hiking. Nothing else to note.
