“Relax di 3 giorni al centro di Santa Maria di Castellabate_PRO&CONTRO”
The building sits right in the city centre; walking gets you to all services, restaurants, free beaches, and the beautiful historic centre. Beach services include stalls and bars along the entire coast. It’s convenient to grab a sandwich from a well‑stocked supermarket nearby and eat it on the beach. Prices along the beach are quite reasonable. In‑room services: the staff are friendly and helpful, cleaning is decent, and there’s a Smart TV. The structure and livability: the NAUTILUS room for 5 people is in a second‑floor attic (no elevator) and doesn’t face the sea. One side of the ceiling is very low—watch out if you’re over 1.60 m! The wooden beam aesthetic is nice, though the headboards I pulled against are a bit less appealing (still a nice optional feature included in the price). The room has only one small, low, inconvenient window next to the bed that offers a nice view if you can look out without hurting yourself. The bathroom is tiny—absolutely disproportionate for 5 people (the sink is the size of a camper’s). Shower water pressure is inconsistent (often low). Common areas are messy: towels were left in shared areas for two days (see photo). Breakfast is NOT included (despite the B&B label); it was included and paid for in the booking, but upon arrival we only had coffee, barley, tea, and water. The owner apologized, citing an error, but offered no refund. He tried to get us tickets only after we asked, and by then we had already arranged it ourselves. As a “compensation” he offered a free night in the future, but only on weekdays… The “private parking” advertised was actually a free municipal parking 400 m away, reached by a steep walk without a sidewalk and with cars passing by. Alternatively, only blue strips cost 2 €/hour.
