The place sits right in front of the beach, where you can see a fantastic marine background with turtles; Pamilacan is a wonderful spot, and the staff are very eager to assist, though the austerity and simplicity of the site…well, that’s a positive thing!

The extreme kindness of the whole family: Moïse the dad who let us cross by boat, Shirley the mom who cooks wonderfully, Mae the daughter who does everything to make us feel welcome. I had forgotten my e‑reader and she arranged for someone on the boat to bring it to the coast guard office. The lodging is on an island out of time; note that there is no running water so we wash with a bucket and the toilet works with a bucket too, but there is electricity and wifi. It’s not really a bother for a few days and lets you see the real life of Philippine islanders.

An extraordinary experience where you have to forget modern comfort and live like the islanders, sometimes with power cuts and water savings. A beautiful place with direct beach access, an ideal spot for snorkeling with intact coral, fish, turtles. We took the boat trip with Mae’s dad and got to follow a dolphin group up close. Don’t miss swimming in the coral garden: magnificent! RAS

The accommodation is right on the beach (with many turtles in the sea). The family is very nice and you feel at home! That evening there was a party on the island, and the host family even took us along. Overall highly recommended!
