The only thing worth mentioning is the location—less than 10 minutes on foot from the port, perfect if you’re carrying a heavy backpack or briefcase. The staff were attentive, handled our laundry request well, and arranged bike rentals. However, the accommodation looked very different from the photos. The cleanliness was poor, with dirt everywhere, mold, bugs, dampness, and a bad odor. The bathroom was unhygienic, walls were cracked and dirty, and there was no hot water.

The place has a great location and is cheap, but the bathroom floor tiles were broken and water pooled. It was poorly maintained. If the mosque didn’t wake you up, the roosters would.

Nothing pleased me. The current state of this accommodation does not match the photos; it seemed as if no cleaning had occurred since the pictures were taken, and necessary repairs and maintenance were ignored, which caused us a huge inconvenience because we were already there during peak season and couldn’t find another place. I consider this a scam. The tiles in the shower area were broken, which is dangerous. Shower water stayed stagnant and didn’t drain, making it unhygienic. There were cracks in the ceiling and walls, so debris could fall at any time. There was a lot of dirt everywhere, especially in the toilet and sink. The management should have covered the cost of moving us to another room or another property, yet they didn’t, leaving us with the problem despite knowing the room was in bad condition. This accommodation should not be listed on any booking platform.

“Peggio di un ostello abbandonato”

The Gili Islands are a paradise with crystal‑clear water, restaurants, and nightlife. Don’t let this place ruin your holiday; it’s cheap but inhospitable. The rooms are uninhabitable, filled with mold, with walls peeling and a stifling air. Cleaning is nonexistent. The sheets are dirty and torn. The bathroom is appalling: no hot water, the toilet is yellow, the shower works poorly, and the ceiling is covered in dead flies.
