“Ruhe und Entspannung in den Bergen”
The host was very helpful and transported our luggage from the parking lot to the cabin. The cabin sits away from any noise in the middle of the forest. From a gate in the valley you drive 8 km up a winding road. It’s best to bring all your food for the whole stay so you don’t have to go into the valley so often. At night you can watch the stars wonderfully, there are no disturbing light sources. During the day hikers pass by and you don’t feel too isolated. The cabin is a great starting point for hikes. In the evening you should definitely visit the nearby restaurant; the food is wonderful and the hosts are very nice. Breakfast is offered, but we didn’t try it. We had no problems with the power supply, even though it gets dark early in September and we had two rainy days without any sunshine. The kitchen is very well equipped; we didn’t miss anything. For hot water you have to heat it yourself, but with a few firewood logs you can get warm water in a short time. The same goes for heating the house – you have to keep it going, but that’s part of what makes the holiday nice. Inside the house there is only rarely mobile reception; the internet is sometimes enough, but that wasn’t a problem for us. At the gate in the valley you have to pay an “entry ticket” with a note about the daily price of 20 €; it would have been more relaxed if we had known beforehand that we would receive a free ticket upon arrival, which also lets us use some parking spots in the valley.
