The self‑catering cabin came with enough pots, pans, and flatware. The deck featured a covered dining table and chairs, and the barbecue was usable even while the nearby national forest was under fire restrictions; the deck overlooks a treed meadow and feels very peaceful.

“Disappointed”

The cabin was a real gem, with a spotless kitchen and a lovely view of the river. However, we were a bit miffed to find out that we'd have to pay extra for internet and TV, and the dusty surroundings didn't exactly make us feel at home. The air conditioning unit was tiny and struggled to keep the cabin cool, especially during the hot afternoons.

We loved the cozy property and its fantastic location, but it was a bit of a letdown that they didn't provide any basic ingredients, like coffee or salt. It's not like we're used to luxury, but it would've been nice to have some essentials to get us started. Still, the property itself was lovely, and we enjoyed our stay.

“Simplicity and nature”

The area around Camp Sherman was absolutely stunning, and our cabin's location in the middle of it all was perfect. However, we were a bit misled by the listing, which didn't make it clear that we'd be staying in a trailer. The space was cramped, and the lack of cell reception and wifi was a real issue – especially since we're used to having those amenities.

We loved the quiet surroundings and the resort's cute charm, but the air conditioning unit was a real disappointment. It was noisy and didn't do a great job of cooling the cabin, so we had to keep it on all night. Still, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well-stocked, so it wasn't all bad.
