“Best place to stay down south”
We were thrilled with every aspect of our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The spot was ideal, just a short walk to the calm, gorgeous Nilwella beach, perfect for exploring early in the morning. The harbor was nearby, vibrant and full of local charm. Our room was stunning, with a large window overlooking palms and the ocean, spotlessly clean, hot water on demand, and run by a friendly family. The rooftop was the icing on the cake, offering a refreshing breeze, great views, a place to relax, sun loungers, and shade. Absolutely recommend!

The family hosting the two apartments exudes a beautiful, loving vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. Every day we enjoyed the peaceful rooftop for morning coffee and evening sunsets over Blue Beach Island. The location is perfect—just a walk from Blue Beach Island, a 15‑minute stroll to Hiriketiya, and close to everything while still in the middle of local life and a tranquil atmosphere. Ransi & Livi welcomed us with juices and snacks and were always ready to help with any request. Our blue room had everything we needed, especially a comfortable bed. Honestly, the price was too low for the service, atmosphere, and comfort. We’ll definitely return to Ransi House on our next Sri Lankan trip.
The accommodation was very pretty and clean. You could tell it was new because everything looked very tidy. The owners were all very nice and helpful, and we got a delightful juice in the morning. The location was also very nice and quiet, a bit farther from the center but manageable with a tuk‑tuk. There was also a nice rooftop terrace.
The family were incredibly kind, the place was spotless and cozy, and they went out of their way to give directions and arrange transport for me.

Everything was a cool stay and the rooftop terrace was awesome. The beach is a legit 2‑minute walk away via a small trail. The family was super cool and they offered a welcome and farewell drink. The only downside was that the towel fringes, especially the blue ones, were quite frayed.
