We loved the calmness of the place, its proximity to Ella’s centre by a short tuk‑tuk ride, the many animals you can spot around, the kindness of the hosts, and the flawless service plus our tuk‑tuk driver Sandaruwan’s friendliness. We do wish the humidity smell had been better – the owners tried to improve it after we read earlier comments – and the breakfasts were just average, a matter of taste.

The house is a glass bungalow overlooking the jungle, tea fields, and a Buddhist monastery lit at night; getting there is hard, so we had to be taken by tuk‑tuk or the owner, which was a big plus because it kept us away from Ella’s chaos while still being close to everything. A minute’s walk leads to tea plantations where women can be seen picking, and staying here means you’re next to a local family – the lady taught us how to weave with a century‑old machine and was very friendly. Breakfast is excellent and the price‑quality ratio is perfect. The price is so good that it’s impossible to find anything negative.
