The property was new. 1. The lights flickered; they promised to replace them that afternoon but never did. 2. Bottled water had to be purchased separately; no drinking water was provided, and there was no water dispenser.

The hotel was a short walk—10 minutes—from the main nightlife area and it wasn’t loud at night. The staff were very friendly and nice, offering good value for money. The surrounding area was a ghost town, but that was unrelated to the hotel itself.

I booked for three days, and from the first minute until check‑out I almost regretted having another hotel booked right after this one in another part of Ha Long; I would gladly have stayed a few more days here. The owners are absolutely adorable. Thank you! Next time I’m in Bai Chay, I’ll stay here again.
