Jabal Al Akhdar Grand Hotel

“Cheap place to spend the night, good parking, nice staff, but can be better at a low cost”

The staff tried hard to keep us comfortable. The location is fine at the start of Jabal Al Akhdar, but you have to drive 20 minutes to reach the attractive spot of Jabal Akhdar. There are many small things that could be improved at little or no cost, like a curtain for the shower so the bathroom doesn’t get flooded, a proper TV remote, and a better breakfast. The swimming pool wasn’t clean; they changed the water on the last day, but I don’t consider the pool a deciding factor for booking.

The hotel is very good for its location. It felt much better than staying in Jabal Al Akhdar because it’s isolated and very quiet. The staff arrived by car and were very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The bed was quite firm, so if you don’t like a firm mattress it might not suit you. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to swim in the pool, but it didn’t look bad. It wasn’t very clean, it could be cleaner, but it didn’t bother us much.
