“Very Disappointed, Rude & Bad Mouthed Owner, Charge extra for Everything !”
Location was a bit close to town Facility was quite new and beds and bathrooms were ok Arranged Safari driver was good. They don't even know what "Hospitality" means! Owner was very RUDE, Moody and had no care at all for guests! No support for luggage, you have to carry your own luggage even if you come carrying a kid. Pool was not clean and it had murky water Did not want to arrange any food even we requested for a small something in the evening. Rooms had red ants and we had to spray Mortein ourselves. WORST Part; They wanted to charge extra for the 3 year and 5 year KIDS! And even though we booked for 09 Pax, only 08 breakfast was provided and only 8 seats arranged. And they charged for 02 extra breakfast for the 2 kids under 05 years old! Owner doesn't know to respect guests, nor to talk properly and worst was his wife! They were mad that we booked and not direct and so they have to pay commission to And on top of everything from room charge, breakfast, safari tour, they will add 10% Service charge! Very Disappointed and will Never recommend to anyone!!!
“Bel établissement pour faire un safari dans le parc”
The pool was spotless and the rooms were very comfortable.
“1 night stay for safari and visit to Elephant transit centre”
The location is excellent for an elephant safari, the host organized it for us, and it’s very close to the Elephant Transit Centre. The pool is nice. However, hand towels in the room would be a welcome addition, as would a fridge and facilities for making tea and coffee.
A fantastic new find in Udawalawe! The Mammoth is a beautiful, newly built hotel run by a lovely, incredibly welcoming couple. The location is perfect - super close to the Elephant Transit Home and all the main attractions in the area. The service here was outstanding, and the rooms were spotless, spacious, and equipped with great A/C (which is an absolute lifesaver in the Udawalawe heat!). They also organize safari tours for a really reasonable price, which made things so easy for us. Make sure to take a dip in their pool while you're there - it’s the perfect way to unwind. Till next time!
The host arranged a fantastic safari for us, the price‑performance is excellent, and the pool is great for cooling off.
