The site stayed nice and quiet all day, even though a large group was very loud late on both nights, walking past and disturbing sleep, but the location was great for visiting various sights. The area around the hot tub was rather grubby and could really use maintenance; mud was coming through the artificial grass and overgrown brambles, outdoor furniture cushions also needed replacing or cleaning, and someone had clearly used the hot tub before us, leaving sand pooled at the bottom.

It was clean, comfortable, and very homely, yet everything you need was there.

“Comfortable”

We had a lovely weekend at the lodge, which was very comfortable and a nice size. Aside from a lot of cobwebs outside, a dead spider, and what looked like mothballs on the bedroom curtain, there was nothing to dislike; it would have been nice to have a mop and vacuum so we could have cleaned better before leaving.
