We left the first night because of the room conditions: a large cockroach crawled from the wall onto our sheets, hid in our belongings, and then vanished. While searching for it, we discovered another dead, dry cockroach in the bed. We also found old discoloured pillows, stained sheets, a mattress on a damp wooden board, a leaking bathroom, and insecticide hidden in a corner. We didn’t sleep that night and checked out two days early. Even after explaining everything, no refund or commercial gesture was offered. The exchange messages are attached for you to judge. It seemed like a structural and maintenance issue; the place is old and neglected. For the price charged, the property clearly needs investment and better upkeep.

The welcome from Mrs. Maria, her garden, and her bananas were lovely, but the room was tiny and you have to manage the space carefully.
