Blu Marina actually consists of two mini‑apartments on the first floor of a block in a quiet residential area, a 10‑minute walk to the seafront and beach, and about 20 minutes to the railway station. Our room, Sabbia, was airy with French doors opening onto a balcony, a small fridge, microwave, coffee machine, sink and a few utensils. The bed was comfortable, the shower great, and there was a washing machine. The air‑conditioning worked well and everything was very clean. Sonia met us with the keys and a map, explaining everything. Alassio is an attractive, popular resort, very busy during the holiday weekend we visited. The only downside was that the fridge was a bit small, we could have used a kettle, hotplate, and a few more coffee pods.

The location was quiet and close to the town, with free communal parking in the residence. There was no shower gel except for a tiny sachet that was not enough for one person, so we had to buy our own. The pillows were ultra‑flat and not at all comfortable. The shower worked partially; we took several showers where we had to wait several minutes for water to flow. In the middle of a shower the pressure stopped abruptly, the water stopped, and then returned after several minutes.

The air‑conditioning didn’t cool the room effectively. A coffee maker was present, but aside from two small disposable cups there were no mugs or cups. Under a small table and a microwave, there were no plates or bowls, and no cutlery, glasses or corkscrew. The hostess waited for us and mentioned a TV screen, but there were no TV channels; only Amazon Prime, which took an hour to install because she claimed previous guests had messed something up. A small fridge was available, but it stayed cold enough only for a few items. The listing said the location was close to the sea, which was true, but it didn’t mention that all the beaches were private and cost €35 per person per day to access. The nearest free beach was a 25‑minute walk away and was so small that you couldn’t even turn your back. Unexpectedly I had to go to the hospital; the hostess texted me when she was there and asked twice why I was there. Near our accommodation is Hotel Garden, where for about the same price you get a larger room, a pool and breakfast, which we would have preferred.

The accommodation was really very pleasant, clean, comfortable and close to the sea. Communication with the owner went very well. We had a great stay and would recommend this place without hesitation. Nothing particular; everything went very well during our stay.
