“Amazing stay and will definitely coming back soon”
The staff were friendly, the room was extremely clean and tidy, and the taste was good; it was a little warm when we arrived, but opening the windows fixed that. Breakfast was amazing both days, and they looked after our dog just as much as they looked after us. The only downside was that the room was extremely warm when we got there, so I gave it a 10.0/10.
“Really enjoyable.”
The hotel has a lovely, characterful feel. The bedroom features wooden beams, and the outside area is excellent with a good atmosphere, even on a Wednesday evening or night.
“Charming stay”
Check‑in was easy. The food in the evening was lively. The staff were lovely and polite, and Lauren looked after us wonderfully at breakfast.
“Lovely welcoming hotel. Dogs are welcome and people of all ages. Felt like safe cosy place and was perfect for the night”
The hotel is run by a family, the owners are friendly and welcoming, and the price offers good value for money. The location is nice, though not in the central lakes area. Breakfast is included and the portions are huge, plus there are good options for dinner. We sat outside, enjoyed their own open fire, and were provided with big blankets when it got cold at night. We booked two rooms in an annex that shared living and kitchen space, which was really lovely. I’ll definitely return. The beds are huge but a bit hard and uncomfortable, and the TV in the rooms is very small.
“Lovely place in a stunning location”
The place is beautiful and in a wonderful location. We stayed in the modern annex, which is excellent. There are plenty of parking spaces. The room is spacious with a very comfortable bed, plenty of storage, and a good bathroom. An iron and hairdryer were appreciated. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfasts were good, and we also enjoyed our evening meal. The spacious sunny garden was a bonus. This is our first visit to Ennerdale and definitely not our last! The persistent loud and very boring music, both inside and outside, was disliked like in many pubs. It was really not necessary.
