“Average ; it could had been much better if details are thought about and cleaned properly”
Overall, the location fit our travel plans and the property was big enough for two families. There was one bathroom with a toilet only in the basement, but we didn’t encounter any major problems with that. However, the place wasn’t cleaned properly; the garden was overgrown with weeds, which would have made the stay much more enjoyable. The kitchen counter still had breadcrumbs and spilled coffee, oven trays were dirty from previous guests, and the bed linen wasn’t ready—one duvet was ripped completely. Wet laundry was left in the washing machine with no rack, and there was visible black mould on the walls in the upper bedrooms.
The house was clean and spacious. Booking and check‑in information were not straightforward; the security lock code was not sent through. StayRight gave us the required details over the phone on arrival, but it was stressful. The ground‑floor bathroom was not ideal for small children, and the house sits on a busy road, so traffic noise is loud even at night.

The host demanded a copy of my passport or driving licence, which is illegal in the UK, and after reporting it, I was told I had to pay a deposit that I eventually accepted; I will never book there again and I don’t recommend this place.

Checking in was a hassle; we couldn’t receive the check‑in link because it was blocked, so we had to submit ID and wait for the details, which arrived after the scheduled check‑in time and added stress since we were traveling separately from the rest of the group. There was no hair dryer, and the management company promised to bring a new one but never did. The biggest problem was the lack of hot water in the shower—other taps had boiling hot water, but the shower never got hot, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom was on the bottom floor of a three‑floor building, so some older members of our party had difficulty getting down when they needed the toilet, a layout detail we wish we’d known before booking. The plates and cups were filthy when we arrived, clearly not cleaned in a while. If these issues had been addressed, the stay would have been great.
