“Excellent”
It was quiet and peaceful, right in front of the beautiful Lake of Waster. It was just a few minutes’ drive to where we started our walk to the mountain of Scafell Pike.

The location was great.

The building was beautiful, the location great, the beds were acceptable, the staff very friendly, and the self‑catering kitchen was good.

The historic English building was wonderfully preserved, the shared rooms were comfortable, and a lamp at each bed plus a sink in the room were huge pluses. The bathrooms in each room were excellent. It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was very modest, lacking coffee (after a few people filled their own containers for take‑away) and cutlery. However, there was a large common kitchen available, so I definitely recommend preparing your own breakfast.
