I booked a stay at Interhotel Central in Karlovy Vary as a birthday gift for my mother, but the place left a grim impression upon arrival. Communication was only possible through a translation app and felt rather unfriendly. I want to report a serious incident that occurred during our visit: my mother nearly drowned while using the pool area. We observed several safety shortcomings that pose a real danger, especially for older or disabled guests: there is no clear depth marking for the water; the railings and handholds around the pool are inadequate; the entry point lacks a proper grab bar; a first‑aid kit was not immediately or clearly accessible; overall the bathing area does not convey the necessary safety for senior visitors. I urgently request a review and secure the area, and a written statement on the safety measures in place and how such an incident can be prevented. Please document this complaint officially and confirm receipt in writing.
