I had a fantastic stay that completely exceeded my expectations; if I return to Petra, I’ll likely book again at Beit Alshabaan Inn. Muhammad took care of my stay while I was there, and I was lucky to get a free upgrade! The room was great—clean, with nice sheets, a comfy bed, and recessed lighting accents on the ceiling. The shower worked perfectly and the provided soap/shampoo were good too. The room also had a kettle and a fridge, which was a nice touch. I had planned to get up early to visit Petra, but the bed was so comfy compared to everywhere else I’d been sleeping on this trip that I ended up sleeping a few extra hours. Muhammad later came in to check on me since I’d mentioned I’d be checking out very early and he wanted to make sure everything was okay; I really enjoyed the thoughtfulness and personal touch. I ended up leaving something in my hotel and only realized after I’d already arrived in Amman. The hotel owners were able to find a private courier for me to bring it from Petra to Amman and charged me less than any comparable service I could find online. I’m super appreciative that they organized this for me. Overall, hospitality was above and beyond what I’m used to, and I felt treated like a local friend while I was staying there. Finding the entrance to the hotel via car took a bit longer than I expected. It’s located downhill from the road it’s on. Pro tip: Google will tell you to turn onto a dirt road—you’re going the right way, but look left downhill instead of right (what Google suggests) and you’ll find the hotel right there.

The hotel is nice, very clean with a rich bed, a spacious and bright room, and a good bathroom. A lovely lounge to have breakfast or eat with a spectacular view. Everyone is very friendly. Going to Petra was wonderful, especially because of the people, the Petra staff and the Bedouins, all very friendly, and their monuments, tombs, camels, everything special and magical. I appreciate the opportunity to come and to have stayed in this wonderful hotel. Thank you :)

Absolutely everything; in Jordan we met the kindest people, but without a doubt the staff at Beit Alshabaan Inn were wonderful, they made us feel at home and we truly felt comfortable, always very attentive to absolutely everything they could help us with. From the terrace you have the best view of all PETRA, and at night it looks much more spectacular, definitely we would stay there again.

I went to Jordan right after the whole military situation with Iran began, so there were almost no tourists there. I’d say Petra was deserted. So, when I arrived at the hotel, I was the only guest there. I really appreciated how the staff made my stay so comfortable. The room was clean and I had a nice view of the city. I really enjoyed the homemade food served for both dinner and breakfast. The owner was friendly and helpful. Good Wi‑Fi. It’s also worth coming here by car (and in general to explore the country) as walking up and down the hills to Petra or into town is quite a quest.
