“Not what I expected.”
The location was near where I had my activities that day. I had to share some facilities in the villa with others, and the drainage in the shower room was bad.

The villa was very clean and well maintained the pool was nice. The only reason I booked this was the "private" pool as stated on Booking com. This is not the case as the family in the villa behind us shared the pool. Very misleading and should ensure when they advertise private it is private!!

The atmosphere is very good, the accommodation is clean and suitable for a family vacation. Dogs and cats are allowed. The staff are very good. Many insects, possibly because it rained that day and the surrounding area is mountainous.

We booked a single room at Casa Ricca Poolvilla Khaoyai for $82 SGD per night and stayed with my partner and child. The villa sits amid quiet mountain scenery and feels private, even though other guests were around; everyone was friendly and we even greeted each other like a small community. The saltwater pool was a highlight—we swam during the day and lounged beside it at night, soaking in the calm vibe. We ordered the BBQ set dinner for under $20, it was tasty, and the staff helped us light the pit so we could have a DIY BBQ party under the stars. The night sky was full of stars and we relaxed with beers we had bought at a convenience store before arriving, a vibe you can’t find in the city. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with two queen‑size beds of great quality that felt like a 5‑star hotel. Towels were large, soft, and smelled amazing. The bathroom was simple but clean, with hot water and a hair dryer, so no need to bring your own. We were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary breakfast in the morning; we chose the Teochew porridge, which was delicious with generous portions—perfect for our family. After breakfast, we explored the villa and took plenty of photos around the garden and property. The location is convenient—close to Hokkaido Flower Park, cafés, a sheep farm, a temple, and Makro for Thai snacks. Car rental is available if you want to explore more of Khaoyai. I’m glad I chose Casa Ricca; it gave us a memorable family getaway with comfort, fun, and relaxation. Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy nature and unwind in a cozy, friendly place!
