The room was huge and spotless, the facilities were gorgeous, and I loved having a washer and dryer on hand; the breakfast buffet staff were great, and Christian went above and beyond when we checked out.

There’s a free water fountain on the floor, a solid breakfast spread, a welcoming entrance, parking right by the door, a kitchen and fridge in the room, bath tabs, and a local history TV loop; however, the carpet and couch smelled dirty, the fridge interior wasn’t cleaned, the vanity sink didn’t drain well, the mattress felt soft, and while the staff were friendly, most lacked Marriott‑level training—I stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott in Aventura, FL for half the price and had a far better stay.

The location was ideal for visiting Hyde Park’s historic sites and dining at CIA; my room was a comfortable size with a kitchen, a full‑length bath tab and shower, and good‑quality amenities; each floor had a filtered water dispenser and ice machine; the TV played a historical program I liked after my tours; the complimentary breakfast had a nice variety, and the kitchen staff were attentive; the lobby was spacious with a bar and restaurant; a clerical mix‑up with room assignments was calmly fixed by the front desk supervisor. On the downside, the bathroom sink’s drain was problematic, the floor was littered with hairs (not mine), the kitchen floor had the same issue, the fridge interior wasn’t cleaned, the carpeted floor and couch smelled unclean, but the bed and surrounding area were fine.

The outdoor area and the restaurant/bar were fantastic, letting friends and family visit without having to sit in our room, yet the $10 parking fee felt utterly ridiculous.

The view from my windows was great, the pillows were comfy, but traffic and construction noise, plus the AC fan, were annoying.
