The chef is a star, but the kitchen shuts down at 5 pm. As Europeans, we’re not used to being around Russians, and there’s probably nothing the owners can do to change that.

The Beluga Boutique Hotel sits in an extraordinary spot, with friendly staff and a very calm atmosphere, great drinks, and tasty food. They even have a small beach with rocks that feels like a private lagoon—perfect for couples looking for a quiet place.

A quiet location at the end of the long, beautiful Lamai Beach, excellent snorkeling options; breakfast, restaurant meals, and cocktail selection were superb, a pleasant vibe thanks to very courteous and always approachable staff offering helpful tips for excursions, car booking, and more, very nice rooms with outstanding beds.

A small hotel with few rooms, so it’s calm. The bay windows are well soundproofed and the room is comfortable (even though it was less good than the photos…). The only downside is the missing curtain on the bay window, which is a bit transparent and fluid, linen‑style. My ground‑floor room only had one opaque curtain, so even during the day I was in the dark. The windows are tinted, but it’s uncomfortable to dress in front of a window where we can see everything. The room didn’t match the photo; I had booked the standard room and expected a stone bathroom and part of the room, but I only got tiled walls. For a 4‑star hotel I’ve seen better; there’s nothing else in the hotel besides a pool and beach access (rather complicated if you’re not mobile). Even breakfast is pricey compared to what’s around.
