“Location great but the building and rooms are outdated, old and in need of an upgrade.”
Location to the beach. Outdated, old, small bathroom, rundown room and old furniture and amenities

Located in Praia de Faro, the Aeromar Beach Hotel boasts stunning views of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, one of Portugal's 7 Natural Wonders. Guest rooms feature private bathrooms, air conditioning, and satellite TVs, with room service and 24-hour reception available. The hotel offers Algarvian cuisine, a snack bar, and solarium with Atlantic Ocean views, as well as bike rentals and boat tours.

I’ve stayed at this charming hotel several times over the years because it sits right on the beach and is close to the airport. Built in 1966 it keeps an authentic vibe, yet the rooms have been modernised with flat‑screen TV, air‑conditioning and new bathrooms. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the hotel restaurant with excellent quality and value. If you want, there are several other bars and restaurants on Faro beach. Every room has a beautiful view of the ocean or the river. We liked everything, but for those who can’t manage stairs, note that there is no lift and no ground‑floor accommodation; all bedrooms are on the first floor.

Good meals, good value for money. Great location and convenience—bed and climate control. Good service and amenities. Truly a pleasant stay. In the centre of Faro island right at the bridge exit. The lack of an elevator might be the only drawback, but the stairs to the first floor aren’t difficult. We ended up refusing even the offer to help carry our luggage. On Sunday, a summer day, it can be a bit slower to get parking.

The spot is great and the staff are fantastic. The roof terrace is amazing; we grabbed drinks from the bar there (the prices are very reasonable for a hotel). I personally think they’re missing a trick by not having a small rooftop bar. It’s a bit dated, but a little work would fix that.
