We had a mixed experience at Le Naview, but there were also things we loved. We booked the Mini Suite based on online photos, yet the room we got didn’t match our expectations: the bedroom had no window and felt very dark despite plenty of lights, and the balcony shown in the pictures was actually an enclosed area. The suite was spacious and the view from the first room was amazing. The location was perfect—right in Chiang Mai Old City and within walking distance of many attractions. Breakfast was good, and the staff tried to fix the problems when we raised them. Overall, there were disappointments, especially the room not matching the photos and the pest issue, but the hotel acknowledged the problem and attempted to remedy it. A couple of nights in, ants appeared throughout the room. We ignored them at first because we had no food left and were busy exploring Chiang Mai, but later we found several cockroaches around midnight. We reported it to reception, and someone sprayed the room immediately, but the spray was so strong that we had to leave for about 45 minutes. The next morning I spoke to management about the situation and our disappointment. They were understanding and offered a free night plus complimentary breakfast for both of us. We were moved to another room and later told a drainage issue was letting pests in. The only frustration was that the room change happened right away, so we were downgraded to a smaller room with no view for one of the nights we had already paid for the Mini Suite, instead of just for the complimentary night.
The staff were very friendly! We just didn’t stay longer.
“Muy bien”
The spot was convenient, but the room we received was right next to reception, so every time guests came in or out we could hear everything.
“Il personale gentilissimo.”
The new building is beautiful and the room is huge. The beds and mattresses are excellent. The location is good, close to temples, restaurants, and shops for day trips.
“Buena ubicación.”
Overall everything. The beds were single; I was expecting a double bed.
