Friendly staff and excellent place to stay

Central location, free Wi‑Fi, reasonable price. The hotel feels dated and modest, and the breakfast is awful.

The place is right near the center, the room is large, and the bed was very comfortable.

We often use this hotel for business trips because of its good location, the rooms were always clean, and we took advantage of the free parking in front of the building. I was pleased to learn that the elevator by the reception has finally been fixed, and it feels like the breakfast room now has a new coffee machine, or at least a more functional one than before. Usually we liked to relax here and the breakfasts were good. During this stay we were disappointed. We arrived exhausted after a tough workday before 7 pm, luggage in tow (we’re film crew). The new receptionist could not activate the key/card for our apartment even after three attempts, so we had to go to the reception like a piano lesson. Finally, on the fourth try, she personally opened the apartment with keys, saying she’d try to sort it out when the night shift receptionist arrived; until then she or a colleague had to open it each time we entered. The whole unlocking process took about 20 minutes (we had paid for it in advance through Booking). We finally entered the apartment – we booked a studio with a living area and a bedroom so the crew (a colleague was in another room) could review daily work. Nothing worked, because in the living area a chair was inexplicably unfolded and sent as a two‑bed. It filled the entire living space. We asked the receptionist to remove the bed, saying we needed the chair, but she couldn’t fold the bed into the chair, maybe a colleague would when the night shift came. The bed stayed unfolded until our departure the next day around 11 am, so paying for the studio with a living area that we couldn’t use was an unnecessary expense. According to the apartment, the hotel seems to be “depleting” – the chair was dirty and worn out, judging by the operations. The towels were washed in a thin fabric that long ago forgot it used to be long‑staple, brushed cotton and turned into wet puddles when first laid on a wet body after a shower. Breakfast: it used to be really good, these last ones we had around 8 am and they served them until 10 am, wow: a small, lousy selection, the ham smelled weird, there were only black teas, about 5 pieces, and three dried roasted sausages. Yogurt was spoiled.
