The hotel is within walking distance of the centre and has cute restaurants nearby; the rooms are clean and spacious. The sound insulation between rooms was lacking, the bathroom felt a bit dated, and the staff were friendly but didn’t go out of their way to make us feel comfortable or show us the room. It wasn’t bad but not amazing either, especially compared to other options in S. I still recommend it as the better choice there and nothing major was wrong.

The shower was fantastic, the room was nicely furnished and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. The hotel/guest house is decent, but given the price of over £100 a night, it would be nice to have a kettle in the room with a selection of teas and coffees. Also, it was a little disappointing to find the complimentary bottle of water half‑drunk when I entered my room; it’s a small thing, but it made me question the value. Other than that, it’s a great little place.
