The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely with eggs to order, bacon or sausage (pork or chicken) and several toast options. The buffet also offered yoghurt, fresh fruit, granola, juice, coffee and teas. It’s in an area near several restaurants and coffee shops and across the street from the San Francisco Fire Department Museum. I found my room a little warm even with the window open, and the bed was a bit soft, but it really is a charming property!

“Wonderful getaway in a charming place”

It was clean, well equipped, and quiet. I loved the quaint English charm and the history of the old building. I really enjoyed spending time in the charming room downstairs where I could just relax, read, or watch TV. There are plenty of snacks, sweet treats, and fruits to help yourself with, plus tea and coffee. Such a wonderful place to stay.

I slept like a rock. Very comfortable and quiet. The shower was great, the heated toilet seat was a bonus I didn’t know I needed lol. I enjoyed my scrambled eggs, perfectly toasted sourdough bread, and all the fresh fruit.

Homely, clean, comfortable, great location, quiet, generous tea/coffee, treats and freshly baked biscuits, excellent breakfast, lovely friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again!

“Beautiful location close to Presidio Park, outstanding staff.”

Charming hotel. Lovely helpful staff. Coffee/tea and a selection of sweet or savory snacks are available at all hours, as well as a full egg breakfast. Maintaining the original character of the location makes adding some more contemporary conveniences, like an in-room mini fridge, a challenge. However, the use of the kitchen refrigerator is permissible and very helpful.
