Great location, secure bike parking. The restaurant dining area needs a better layout, and the menu should offer a wider selection to match the upmarket facilities.

The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good with filter coffee, which is very important; the bar/restaurant food is excellent, although the menu is a bit limited.

We had no light in the toilet or bathroom; they managed to find one bulb so it was manageable. During the night one of the bedside lights had no bulb—simple things that could have been easily sorted.

The staff were excellent, from the young lady who checked me in, to the bar staff who served my food, and the kitchen staff who helped the server with breakfast. The food was excellent—simple fair game gammon steak but very well cooked. It was great to see a small hotel serve a good quality sausage at breakfast instead of the usual poor quality. The bedroom was a good size, the bed was very comfy, and the shower was fantastic. The only small point: the TV was very small and quite a distance from the bed.
