“Never again”
I couldn’t breathe 😪. The house was filled with scented plugs everywhere, so if you have asthma, stay away. The bathroom and toilet were shared, and there was no sink in the room.

The house was kept very well. The hosts were nice. The duvet might have been a bit thicker.

I had thought we’d stay in a former lighthouse, but it turned out to be a terraced Victorian house—my fault for not Googling. We hadn’t read the fine print about shared facilities, yet that didn’t become an issue; the bathroom was very clean with a good shower. The room was spacious, and tea/coffee were good. We were quoted two parking spaces, just enough for our medium car, and the road parking seemed to be for residents, so there might have been a problem if the rear space wasn’t free. The road was quiet, but the residents in the next room watched three episodes of Howard’s Way at midnight, so more soundproofing could help.

Nice spot, a short 15‑minute walk to The Quay, friendly host, and a quiet street.

The place was tidy, but the shared bathroom felt cramped and the bed was too small for two tall folks, so we ended up rolling together; the stairs were narrow and steep, making it hard to lug suitcases, though the owner offered help. I wasn’t sure how to dispose of our rubbish, so I left it tied up in a bag in the room.
