“Great location”
The location was great, quiet, and peaceful, giving me a good night’s sleep; it’s close to Southampton shipping docks for catching ships/ferries without needing to stay in Southampton itself—no dislikes.

The room and bathroom were spacious, impeccably clean, and came with extras like toiletries and a fridge; we loved the marina view from the balcony and the nearby bus service to Southampton city, making the venue peaceful and relaxing after a busy day, and the restaurant food was excellent. The room was clean and in great condition, though a touch dated in style; adding cushions to the outdoor furniture would boost comfort.

I expected an older property but it turned out to be more modern than I thought; the room was beautifully appointed with skylights that let in plenty of natural light and harbour views, set up with separate beds for my adult son and me, and the bathroom was beautifully updated—nothing to complain about, it was a great stay.

The location was nice, parking was free, and the room was spacious and clean with a small balcony that offered a pleasant view beyond the car park. Some TLC was needed: the stairwell and downstairs area that leads to the rooms were shabby, the continental breakfast was poor and poorly arranged, and there was no dedicated check‑in desk, so we had to wait at the bar for staff.

Room was large with a good view of the marina. Rooms were mostly clean, Hotel general areas were clean. Nice location on the marina. On 2nd floor so taking several bags up was difficult. Although there was a lift it was labelled as a disabled lift and needed a staff member to operate it. This made us feel that we shouldn't ask to use it and cause inconvenience as there was only one member of staff on at any time. Room mostly clean, but one of cushion covers in room 9 had a large (coffee??) stain on back of it and had clearly not been washed. Chairs were marked and looked dirty. Breakfast continental was included, although it was very limited. No self serve toaster, so limited to whatever the staff brought out. Limited selection on continental and I found out, when I asked for another coffee, that only 1 coffee or tea was included. Room codes are too long. Need to be 4 numbers maximum. We had 2 rooms and wanted to use the bar area to sit and chat at night rather than sitting in one of the rooms. We were pretty much hoovered out of the bar and told we could not stay as the bar was closed (10.25pm!!) Staff were quiet and unengaging and had to be asked a few times to get things we had asked for. We felt like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. A small door on the side of the hotel was left open at night. This led directly up the stairs to rooms, so anyone could get in and access the hotel. We were not made aware of how to access the hotel later in the evening and found the open door by accident as all the main doors were locked. Unsafe practice and unprofessional. Have a night staff or provide an external door key or code
