The location and food were excellent, but the walls weren’t very sound‑proof; waking up to a lot of noise from next door at 3 am was not good.

The hotel is kid friendly and has great facilities for children, and the room was a good size, but I couldn’t sleep because the rooms were too hot. The staff in the leisure centre seemed to hate their jobs. The dinner menu was very poor and the triple‑cooked chips were vile—how do you even get chips wrong? I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be returning. The fire alarm went off and the lift was out of service, and there was no staff to help carry bags or a pram down the stairs at checkout.

The staff were friendly, but room 201 smelled like the kitchen when the window was slightly open.

I’ve stayed at Glenroyal twice now and everything remains flawless—staff are consistently friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, the beds are supremely comfortable, and every facility shines. Our kids had a blast, and we’re already planning another visit. Thanks for the outstanding hospitality @Glenroyalhotel.
