Beautiful traditional japanese house with a great view of Fuji. Could use some cleaning
“Ruhige Lage, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Es fehlt Gemütlichkeit und einer Grundsauberkeit”
The place feels very traditional and spacious, with a well‑equipped kitchen and a quiet seaside setting where a beach is within walking distance. The kitchen needs a basic deep clean and the bathroom is moldy, so overall the apartment was only superficially clean.
“ジャパニーズソウル”
I had always dreamed of staying in a historic Japanese house, so I booked it for a New Year’s diving trip to Izu. I was worried about the cold, but once I stayed there there was no draft, it was very warm, the futon was fluffy and super comfortable—so comfortable I didn’t want to leave! I’ll definitely come back if another chance comes up.
A super authentic Japanese‑style house; a bit tough without a car, but they warned us. Everything else was great.
“We loved staying at Guest House Sekino. The house is wonderful and the owners very friendly and helpful. We wish we coul”
We loved the rural spot near the sea, the traditional building, and the chance to live differently for a few days. The owners were incredibly helpful, answering questions fast and even helping us buy a new suitcase, telling us where to shop and arranging disposal of the old one.
