Spacious, nice rooms, a shared lounge, and a large terrace. The house is very close to a beautiful beach. In the evening the hosts prepared a delicious dinner, and in the morning one of the best Lankijskie breakfasts! We highly recommend it.

Our host was very pleasant and arranged our return trip to the airport. The place wasn’t very clean. The food was too spicy for the children even though we had asked for no spices.

The owner was very friendly and the breakfast was good. He also offered dinner at a reasonable price, which was very tasty. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was clean too. I had a very pleasant stay, and the accommodation is just a short walk from the beach.

I loved my stay at Chaya. Gnanath and Nirmula were the most welcoming hosts and very generous, always offering tea or refreshments whenever I was home. The breakfasts are excellent, ranging from Sri Lankan traditional to Western options, and after my Ayurvedic retreat they even served me Ayurvedic foods. Traveling alone at that time, with war and flight complications through the Middle East, I often dined at the guesthouse, enjoying fantastic home cooking and good company. Highly recommended for its great value. The villa has a wide, cool balcony overlooking lush gardens, perfect for breakfast, dinner, or just hanging out. It’s less than 5 minutes from the beach, where you can swim without worrying about strong waves or rip currents thanks to a coral reef that calms the sea. A short walk leads to surfing areas too. Gnanath offers plenty of guidance on where to go and how to travel, and he also runs a bargain taxi service. There was nothing to dislike.
