“All-inclusive resort”
The place is huge and feels like an all‑in‑one resort, but the dining and shopping options nearby are pretty sparse. It sits right on the lake, and you can see the water from the outdoor onsen. The rooms are big, clean, and comfy. The facilities could use an upgrade, but overall the stay was good.
“Good location and reasonable value for the dollar.”
The location, roomy rooms, and amenities are solid, plus the place stays clean. There’s a bar with darts, a pool, table tennis, and other games. The souvenir shop is fairly well stocked. The staff are nice and helpful. Managing the buffet breakfast and dinner is a constant struggle, but it went fairly well. I wasn’t blown away by the food, especially given the price, though some of my family members disagreed. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the lavatory is so low it’s almost unusable. There’s no or barely any shelf space, so you have to keep your suitcase on the floor, which is inconvenient and looks bad.
The outdoor onsen is amazing, and the front desk staff are lovely and helpful. The place isn’t clean, it’s crowded, huge, and old.
People probably pick this place because of its location and the large facilities that attract many group tourists. The Gosikinuuma trail is a short walk away, and a bus on the opposite side of the trail brings you back to the hotel easily. Although it sits right by the lake, the lake view is limited; the outdoor onsen shows the lake but not a wide panorama, which was a bit disappointing, and the sunset over the lake isn’t really visible either, so don’t expect that. The rooms are fairly spacious and overall comfortable, making it a good first choice if you’re unfamiliar with the area. Still, a few things fell short. I stayed here in April 2026 and returned in August 2026, and: 1) the breakfast and dinner buffets feel a bit lacking compared with Japanese hotels—there are many dishes but many are untouched, and the cuisine leans more toward Southeast Asian or Chinese fusion, likely due to the many Chinese tour groups; 2) the large number of Chinese‑speaking tour groups creates a noisy, crowded dining atmosphere, which is uncomfortable; 3) towels are supplied only one per day, and used towels must be taken back to the room, which is odd—if you want extra towels for a second onsen session you have to request them at the front desk, which is inconvenient; 4) the onsen is open to day‑pass guests, not just overnight guests. Because the trail is nearby, many day‑pass users are present, so even if you go before dinner you’ll still find it crowded, and the hotel seems to let day‑pass users stay until evening, which isn’t ideal for guests.
“露天風呂や部屋からの景色が最高、自然の中でゆったりのんびり二泊三日”
The view from the western‑style room on the third floor was fantastic, the open‑air bath and meals were superb, and the hotel facilities were comfortable, letting us unwind over two nights.
