The welcome was very good, the place is great, and the value for money is excellent, plus it’s well‑located on the coast, but getting to the floor requires an outside staircase.

We were visiting the D-Day beaches, and this property could not be better placed. We were 8 blokes, and we had the whole house, so there was plenty of room for us; in fact, if there were 10 of us, it would still have been perfect. We ate at the house most nights as well as breakfast, and the cooking facilities were great; we had everything we needed. We also made use of the BBQ, which made for a very memorable night. In short, highly recommended for a visit to the beaches. A guide to the property would have been helpful, listing the wifi code, taxi numbers, recycling routine, etc. It would just save having to contact our host. That said, any questions we had were promptly answered, so that may be a bit picky. We found 2 faults the property might want to address. The electric hob didn't like more than one ring at a time being used. And the TV box or the HDMI cable was faulty and would lose signal from time to time

The setting, tranquility, location, welcome, and the host’s availability were all excellent, and there was nothing to complain about.

We had an amazing weekend at this spot, situated in a beautifully restored building right in a great area. It served as our hub for biking around the WW2 beaches, and every room was super comfy with plenty of space to eat both inside and outside. The host was fantastic, even driving us to the local supermarket in Bayeaux, going well beyond what we expected. I’d definitely recommend this place.
