When I first arrived I couldn’t get into the property; the door was locked and the number I had was unresponsive, so I ended up going to a local pub to sort it out—an awkward situation for a recovering alcoholic, especially in heavy rain. I texted the provided number and was told to send a photo of my ID; after a few minutes I received a confirmation that my booking was already confirmed. I sent a picture of my driving licence, and a code was sent to me. The place itself was very basic: downstairs there was no chair or table, and the bedroom was plain but still slept in. A washing machine was present, but when I arrived it already had clothes in the tub, and they were still there when I left. I didn’t use it, but it would have been handy. When I was leaving I got locked out; I had to walk to the local cemetery to say a prayer for my parents. The text I received said my departure time was 12.00 on 3/12/25, but I returned at 11.20, entered the code, and was told it wasn’t active. I messaged back and was told I was past my time limit, even though noon was the scheduled departure. After some back‑and‑forth I was given an emergency code that could only be used once. The place did the job, but I won’t stay here again and would only recommend it to bold people. Also, there was a mouldy smell throughout the property, which made it feel unappealing.
