The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff were attentive, but the house bathrooms weren’t heated and it got very cold at night. The outdoor pool needed more attention – we found plastic floating in the water when we went for a dip. Walking from house 15 where we stayed to the café and dinner took a reasonable amount of time and was hard because of the altitude, and the driver I booked for the next morning confirmed the reservation but never showed up.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, this place is hard to beat. The natural beauty of the surroundings is simply breathtaking, and the tranquility of the atmosphere is the perfect antidote to a busy life. The only thing that would make it even better is if the pool were warm for more hours of the day - but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise idyllic setting.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty by the staff, who paid attention to every little detail to make our stay perfect. The casa itself was stunning, with a beautiful pool and spa area that we made full use of. The food was top-notch, and we were impressed by the quality of the meals. The only thing that let the resort down was the entrance road, which was a bit of a bumpy ride.
