The hotel's setting is its strongest suit – it's right in the heart of the city, with beautiful lawns and a lovely verandah to enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made a big difference during my stay. However, the rooms themselves were a bit of a letdown – the furniture was a bit worn out and the toilet fittings were pretty basic. The door and window fittings were also a bit dodgy, but overall, the hotel's charm and location made up for its shortcomings.
