“Overall good”
The staff were good. The men working at the swimming‑pool bar were not.

The staff were very friendly and professional, overall a good place for business trips, and it’s close to the airport.

The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the pool. The bar and terrace staff were not smiling and were aggressive.

The experience was terrible for the level of service claimed. Regarding the rooms, we were upgraded two levels to compensate for not being able to have breakfast, so we got a suite, which started well. But when we entered the suite we noticed the air‑conditioning was leaking onto the bed and the sheets and mattress were wet. We called reception, waited 30 minutes, a friendly doorman arrived, we talked, and he suggested we sleep in the wet bed. We refused, called reception again, and they agreed to change rooms. The new suite was fine until we showered and my wife slipped on a puddle and fell. The living room air‑conditioning had leaked, water on the floor, we laid towels, called reception again at 10:30 am because we wanted to sleep. Another 30‑minute wait, the same doorman, a chat about another room change. He finally fixed the leak, a lady cleaned the floor, and we slept. It was an absurd and unworthy situation for a 5‑star hotel. The management’s reaction was surprising and disappointing. Maintenance was faulty. The room service menu was clear and the prices were appropriate, but the room service never answered my calls, so I had to walk out to buy a beer. With all the mishaps, when we checked out we were interrogated about whether I had paid for all my beers: one at the pool with a signature billed to our first suite, one I got at the bar because room service didn’t answer, billed to our first suite, and one from the minibar of the second suite. I paid everything at reception, but they came to question us outside while we were getting into a taxi to the airport. No compensation for the major inconvenience of the night’s room change caused by them. It was unworthy of the claimed hotel level. Also, the pool water was cloudy and full of insects. No apologies for all our problems, which is very regrettable at this level of service. The positive was the friendliness of the reception and the upgrade because our early departure meant we couldn’t have breakfast, which was paid but non‑cancelable.

Breakfast, pool, and location are good. There is no satellite TV in English or German—only a few Arabic channels.
