The hotel itself is perfect, the room is superb along with the bathroom, and the staff is very pleasant. The location is very out of the way with few tuk-tuks available and no shops nearby, quite noisy in front of a major road, and the vegetarian meals were offered even though the menu says otherwise.

I met George Clooney at the front desk and he was as friendly as ever, but the hotel is far from Varanasi’s center, and the cleanliness was inconsistent; the sun terrace rarely worked and the relaxation area felt fake because none of the equipment functioned, and the photo on the saleswoman’s desk was off.

The room was decent with air conditioning, a fridge, and it was more or less clean, yet the location is far from the city center, so you have to take a taxi or tuk‑tuk; breakfast was sparse and mediocre, and the pool was dirty with green water, making it impossible to swim.

Muskan, the day manager, was brilliant and truly helpful, but it was a shame I was working at night because the night staff were overly vigilant, trying to charge and overcharge for everything they could, focusing on adding money to their wallets instead of being helpful; the hotel is good, but the night staff need to learn to be helpful.
