The setting was great, breakfast was superb, and the staff were very friendly and helpful—whether it was the lady in charge or the technician who fixed the TV in a quarter‑hour and the air‑conditioning. The garden view was lovely, though I wish I had a room overlooking it; we were close to the pool anyway. The bar staff were very attentive and listening, and the hotel is definitely recommended.

The Monica Hotel sits in a fabulous spot for everything. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the pool area is lovely, and breakfast was tasty and varied.

“Very comfortable hotel in a great location”

The location is fantastic, just a block from the sea front and close to shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable with a comfy bed, powerful shower, blackout curtains, and quiet. Breakfast was varied and served in a pleasant dining room, and all the staff were helpful and lovely. The only downside was that reception was understaffed for many check‑ins; the woman was exhausted and the wait was long. I wonder if you can separate non‑smoking from smoking guests more on room allocation, because I had smokers on balconies on both sides of me, making it hard to sit on my own balcony.

“Would recommend”

Central, close to all amenities within walking distance, and a 5‑minute stroll to the beach. The rooms are nice and comfortable. There were some issues with water outages—happened twice during our one‑week stay. When ordering a drink at the bar or restaurant, we had to add it to the room bill and pay at reception; I would have preferred to pay as we went—a small grumble!
