Breakfast was decent, but the soft boiled eggs were overcooked each morning; a meat option would have been appreciated. Lunch came in plastic containers with plastic cutlery, which was disappointing.

The renovation of the old olive oil factory was eye‑catching, with the main building furnished in quirky antiques and a few modern touches that made it both stylish and comfortable. Our room was in the annex, a new build that matched the main building’s style and used local materials, and it was equally stylish and comfortable. The outdoor area and pool were superb. Every staff member was first‑class, welcoming, and helpful. Dinner was thoughtfully prepared, mainly vegetarian with local dishes and ingredients, and the wine list was locally based and enjoyable. Our waiter guided us through Sicilian wines with great enthusiasm and deserves special thanks. The WiFi in the annex was weak; a booster would be a welcome addition.

Eine wahre Oase. Selbstgemachtes Bio-Frühstück ist besonders hervorzuheben. Sehr herzlicher Service. Sehr bequeme Betten. Absolute Ruhe. In 10 Minuten am Strand

The staff is incredibly kind, everyone is very friendly and service is great. They really try to accommodate every wish. The pool and outside areas are beautiful. It is very quiet. The cooking class was very authentic and we enjoyed it very much. Alberto was a fantastic teacher who appears to really enjoy giving the classes which made the atmosphere very special. Two minor aspects (which would not prevent us from visiting again): The cappuccino is not the best - the milk seemed overheated so there was no/barely foam. We tried it several times and were a little bit disappointed. There are no bags/baskets for the pool, so we would recommend bringing one

Beautiful and comfortable hotel located around 20 minutes outside of Syracuse. Incredibly friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner, super comfortable rooms and a great outdoor area with a saltwater pool
