The room was thoroughly cleaned and felt very comfortable, while the grounds offered a railway park and barbecue facilities that the whole family enjoyed; the staff were also very gentle with us. There were no particular drawbacks.

We had a great stay at Log Cottage Epoch - the location was stunning and our host was super helpful, driving us to the slopes and helping with equipment hire. The onsen experience was amazing, and I loved how warm the bathroom was after a long day on the snow. The cottage is a short walk to town centre, but we only found out about the shortcut a day before we left, which was a bit frustrating.

The location was really convenient for us since we had a car - made getting around easy. That being said, I was a bit surprised that the Onsen wasn't included given the cost of the lodge.
