The place turned out to be nowhere near what was advertised – the host sent us to a totally different spot. We’d already paid, but since we never actually stayed there, we’re asking for a refund. It’s a bummer, especially since this is the first time we’ve had a letdown like this.

The taxi couldn’t locate the hotel address and nobody answered the phone number listed in the ad. After an hour of searching, I had to book another place at the last minute, and it cost way more.

Room smelled awful, like a mix of Asian and Indian travelers, and there were cockroaches, bugs, and flies everywhere. No staff or front desk, and the cleaning was terrible. The bed and facilities were all bad, and the owner even asked for an extra 50 dirhams for service. It’s a shame this place shows up on a big booking site.
