The room was cozy without frills, the breakfast tasty, the staff friendly, and there were good bike‑storage options; the house had charm and style. The price for what was offered felt a little high, but still acceptable.

The historic, luxurious hotel was great for a one‑night stay to explore the old town. Breakfast was excellent and the menu varied. The hotel restaurant was closed on Mondays.

The location is super central, ideal if you have an exam at the Goethe Institute. The restaurant food was good and the price‑performance ratio excellent. The rooms at the back of the building are accessible from an adjacent raised roof area; guests from the neighboring room can step outside and knock on your window. If you’re traveling alone as a woman, this could be an issue.
