“We got some sleep .”
The vibe was pleasant. Our first room wasn’t cleaned – linens were everywhere and housekeeping seemed to skip it. We were moved to a second room that was so dirty a friend at home had to come clean it. The toilet had dried urine and hair crusted on it, the bathtub was full of hair, dirt, and a thick dusty film, the fridge had mold, and the carpet between the beds was covered in a flaky white substance. The “beautiful mountain view” was just a window ledge; if you stood on tip‑toes you could see a brown spot and a sliver of sky among half‑dead foliage around an empty pool and hot tub. Because we were exhausted, we drove away while staff cleaned. When we returned it was spotless, but the cleaning scent was so strong it made our eyes water and noses run, so we opened the window to ventilate, which let two bees fly in because there was no screen. Both my family member and I are allergic to bees. After all that, we were given two coffee drinks as an apology. Very, very disappointing – the worst hotel experience ever.
